How long before movie posts adjust their business model to compete with tube sites?
Movie posts with the typical 3 X 15 second .mpg/.wmv movie template model are quickly losing favor to tube sites with their 2+ minute tube postings.
Tube sites on the other hand are incurring negative feedback within the webmaster community for having stolen content, full length movies, and for cutting out the middle man (affiliates).
So why not just make everyone happy and combine the benefits of both business models. Movie posts need to start accepting a different type of movie gallery. Galleries with only one movie sample, 1 to 3 minutes long, with a .flv/.mpg/.wmv movie file.
Website visitors, program owners, free site owners, and affiliates would all be happy. Affiliates could still create and submit fully customizable/unique galleries with their own link codes, banners, recips, etc. Program owners would generate more traffic while giving away less of their exclusive content. Movie post owners could still make money selling gallery spots and partner accounts. Visitors will also obtain a higher quality movie sample experience.
So in my opinion, movie posts and movie gallery submitters can either adjust or let tube sites takeover... I'd rather have a business model that makes everybody happy and more money. The old movie post model still works, generates tons of money, and just needs a minor adjustment. Otherwise everyone is going to become a paysite and tubsite owner - killing the middle man and increasing the barriers of entry into the online adult advertising industry. (Hmmmm, which might actually be a good thing.)
