In Canada we have specific laws about gun storage. Most of the "precautions" that were listed in the article are actually federal law here. These are the kinds of gun laws I don't mind obeying.
Would be interesting to compare accidental gun injuries / deaths in Canada to the United States to see if this actually helps.
I believe handguns have to be in a locked compartment.
If you have a rifle or shotgun then the minimum requirement is a trigger lock and ammo stored separately.
