I hadn't heard about Guinness... wouldn't surprise me... but I know that sects of Belgian monks would fast on doppelbocks (and similar styles of beer) such as Salvator (gotta respect a beer that a bunch of monks name after Christ.
) during Lent every Spring.
Oh...and 50 bottles of beer on the wall!
