Yea, that's pretty crazy. In 20 years it may be uncommon NOT to have some kind of STD. The study is also based on teen girls who admit to being sexually active. There is a good portion who probably wouldn't admit it and also an even bigger portion who aren't sexually active at all.
So not 1 in 4 teen girls in the US have an STD, only 1 in 4 teen girls who admit to being sexually active have an STD.
I would say a more realistic representation for the entire population of teen girls in the US is more like 1 in 25
