Can't forget:

Def Leppard - Hysteria, Animal, Photograph, the shit from Pyromania and Hysteria is all good

Whitesnake - Still of the night, Bad boys, Now you're gone, Love ain't no stranger, Is this love

Judas Priest- you got another thing comin, Turbo Lover, Freewheel Burning

AC/DC - Who made who

Van Halen - no matter if the David Lee Roth Era or not

David Lee Roth solo with Billy Sheehan on bass

Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Warrant - all the hair metal shit is a great party music too

Alice Cooper - something from his post rehab years and late 80's comeback

Blue Murder - very underrated but good stuff with John Sykes on guitar

Quiet Riot - a couple of their songs are too catchy to ignore..

Ozzy with Randy Rhoads - lots of great stuff

late Thin Lizzy - not that killing as their second half of the 70's stuff but still very proper thing

Guns n Roses - whole Apetite for destruction

if you want some bad shredding talk to Yngwie Malmsteen - Risin Force

Black Sabbath - apart from album with Gillan all the shit from 80's very listenable, with "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules" beeing my highlights

Dio - "Holy Diver" and "The Last in Line" "Dream Evil" all great records

Iron Maiden - anything with Bruce but you shouldn't forget to put at least "The Number of the beast" on

Rainbow sucked some serious ass in the 80's but why not to put up the anthem "Since you've been gone"

Iggy Pop - can't go wrong with "Blah Blah Blah" which is more like Bowie (who produced it) or with "Cold Metal" 1988

Many other good bands from the new wave of british heavy metal such as Budgie or Saxon haven't been mentioned yet.

Nothing wrong to mix in there some new wave stuff like The Cure, Siouxie and The Banhees or Joy Division, but that depends on teh audience a lot..

If you need to clean up the space, show some respect to the orthodox rockin fans and push there some Slayer or Pantera.

Just a couple tips, I used to do wild rockotheques while at college, the only problem was that it was already at the time when people slowly started to come over and ask for a Jennifer Lopez song...

Nice list
