I read in the article that gas supplies are high...at that point in time...and I know that there has been some increase in refining capacity...but a shortage of oil is not the problem at this point...it is still the refining capacity that is the major problem. If the world was glutted with gas then the price of gas would drop to some extent...but over all the price of gas will continue to steadily climb as oil itself is a finite resource and world demand is continuing to climb. Alternative fuels will be increased more and more but they will always be higher than fossil fuels. Societies will simply have to make adjustments as fossil fuels dwindle.
