Meeting for lunch is too "nice" - the only people you should go to lunch with is co-workers and grandparents. If you want to take someone out on a date id at least recommend making sure there was enough chance to get into some trouble and have a laugh.
Which of course you did with the recommendation of going to Swig, but by then its two options and sounds a bit like youre grasping.
I've got no idea what your first impression was like though, you could have suggested anything and it would have been "no" whatever you said.
