You asked if I was excusing what the soldier did? I think I clearly stated that it isnt about excusing him because he didnt do anything worse than what most people do. What makes him any better or worse than any of us? Throwing that puppy off the cliff is the same thing as swatting a mosquito on your arm, or slaughtering cows for entertainment products. Its pointless ending of animal life, but its what we do each and every day.
