I disagree.
I think most people just don't want to share the drama on the boards. I see so many "... is no longer with us" threads and it all looks like they still have a great relationship. They obviously had a problem, else one wouldn't get fired or quit. They just decided to part ways and not talk about it in public.
I'm not saying this is also the case with Nick, but generally it would be like that.
