One of the nicest beers I've had is a 1664 - french, but surprisingly, on tap in a lot of other places.
Alternatively, if you want beers that don't taste like watered down urine with bubbles, try some micro-brewery beers - the whole range, blonde, blanche, amber, brown etc - they are generally a hell of a lot tastier - and represent as beverages in their own right
