If you were to do that to me, I wouldn't 'understand' I would be pissed. Even if I knew the cause or whatever I would be pissed.
If you want to take on a website then do it on your own, don't bring other people into it no matter what they might 'understand' because when you start talking like that then you're trying to impose your views on others.

Sure, tell that to a dad that uses his website to help take down a legal website that promotes pedophelia... I believe the reply to your suggested response from users may be just as strong, to protect their children and those of others.
I may be ignorant in this, as I have no legal knowledge about this issue. However, I do believe that people will understand if a webmaster and father will use his knowledge to protect his and other people's children.
