I used to also be very involved with HIV/AIDS education but the older I get the less of a fire there is under my ass to get up and protest about things. I wish I still had that but the feeling of pointlessness usually overtakes.


I get fed up easily too. You get too much attitude from people who laugh at you and run into a lot of hopeless causes, or your shit gets hijacked by people who are fighting the cause the wrong way. I might not be out with picket signs everyday, but I've found that it's the little chances to help that matter. Volunteering at peer council stuff, teen hotlines, ect growing up showed me that helping one person makes up for a half ton of attitude on the other side of things.
