The "What if" scenerio has already occured in my opinion. Many Professional Video Labels have collapsed tons of them and it is not only a sign of the internets effects but part and parcel to Amateur based productions that land themselves on the internet every day.

Anyone with a Video camara and basic PC can create content for the net and that availability and simplicity is incredibly evident over the past several years.
