Where's the illegal part?

I'm asking because it seems that some people dont LIKE the way youtube (for example) is run, where *IF* they get a complaint they pull a video down. But that doesnt make it an "illegal" site. Just a method that ticks people off. SO I'm curious about the "illegal" part?
