They feel safer. They want what is safest for their families and big ass trucks seem to fit the bill as they are small car killers. Most have bumpers that would come into contact almost under or at the windshield of many smaller cars. Truthfully if given the chance most men with families would have their wives and children inside of armored cars or tanks if they were street legal.

As for the V8 issue, well naturally they need to pass those small cars on the freeway and such. I mean they do feel extra safe so they can drive how they want right?
