Anyway, before i get dragged into this (too late?), i personally hate the word, but fully understand why it gets used so often nowadays, since you only have to watch the tv, a movie, or put on a cd, and hear the damn word almost all the way through it.
If you don't want your kids to swear, you don't do it in front of them. So instead of having the word thrown in our faces all the time, just stop using it.
It's like saying to someone "don't think of a black cat".
Then of course all you can think about is a black cat.
So saying "don't say the 'N' word", while hearing it everywhere is only gonna result in one thing...
