I had a whole glass of water go into my laptop recently. Heard a ZAP! and it went off. Turned it in all directions to get the water to drain from the corners then took it apart as much as possible, wiped down all the water I could, and used a blow dryer on the cold setting until I couldn't see any more water anywhere. Waited till the next morning and turned it on and it has worked perfect since. If any liquid is on the circuit board that the keys press on the keys will not work. You need to wait until it is totally dry to test it. Stick it in a sealed container if you can with a cup of rice and that will help draw out any leftover moisture that evaporates.
