It lacks character. It's suburban hell.
Why don't you tell us what city in OC you live in? You also sound a bit star struck as if you want to be in LA because there's the chance you might actually get to see someone famous. When I lived in OC, if my friends wanted to go to the clubs on Sunset, we would drive there and then drive home, you act as if LA is a few states over. Also, if you don't like OC that much and love LA, why not just move there, isn't much of difference in cost of living.
