not sure where in oc you are or who you socialize with but oc is really a top choice in the country for entertainment, to live, raise children in and pretty much is a very cool place. maybe if your not in downtown santa ana or the ghettos of anaheim in some horse barn.

No, I don't live in the ghetto at all. I think even the nicer parts of OC are boring. Like Newport beach for example, it's great for the summer to go to the beach there and there's SHITLOADS of money and very wealthy people there but it has too much of a "beach town" feeling to it. It's too laid back there. I get more of a city feel in Santa Monica, it's more city-like.
I like L.A because it seems more glamorous and I like the grittiness of it, even tho some parts of LA are ghetto I think it gives it more character. Irvine is SUPER SAFE and SUPER CLEAN and I cannot stand it because it looks like a city from a horror movie like Stepford Wives because everything is TOO perfect and TOO safe and TOO well-planned. It lacks character. It's suburban hell.
