I couldn't agree with you more about the fact there is too much for free out there. It's the MAJOR tube sites I don't like. Not the ones that follow the less than 2 minute rule. Some people's trailers are less than 2 minutes. Hell, actual movie promos are 2 minutes and they drive people to the movies. Excpet people don't expect to pay 30.00 to a theater for a movie membership, they pay $30.00 per view. Hmm.... interesting...

Dave, ever go to a Costco on the weekends? It's LOADED with people giving out free samples and guess what? People actually buy the product that they may not have otherwise without tasting the sample. And they don't give you some shitty downgraded, compressed version of the sample. They cut off a piece and give you an actual sample of what's in the box.
They don't say here's a bunch of shitty little stale cookie crumbs but I guarantee you the box contains really good cookies.
So you see, we NEED to give away those samples. That's how we get people to try our shit and buy it. However.... I agree with you, we need to regulate what gets put out there for advertising.
(and yesI see the irony in my example as the only way to get into a costco is to buy a paid membership, but not all stores do that)
