Yep, media. And yeah, improper diagnoses. I actually got so pissed today that I complained to a media outlet, I hope others will too.
I have a friend who was at the doctors office with her son, and she said the woman next to her was PISSED that the doctor wouldnt giver her ritalin. Her son was "wild and hyper" she said, and she wanted him on ritalin. We're talking 8 or 9 years old here.
The one thing in these shootings is that telling us their name and showing us their picture adds ZERO to the story. While keeping that private could save countless lives from copycat mass murderers. There's no loss, and it's no excuse to say "well channel 3 is showing it anyway", fuck that. Grow some balls. Do whats right. It's simple. If channel 3 jumped off a bridge would you yada yada yada. Media outlets just need to get a clue someday and see the harm they contribute to and stop hiding behind bullshit reasoning that is only sophistry.
