There already are conflicts over resources. Why do you think we are in the Middle East? Supply and demand has long been what our economy revolves around in the west. Perhaps you need to read some history and polsci books and get educated before you go off on tangents you don't understand. I don't want to come off as mean, but the facts are there to be found not to mention all over the news every day of the year since 9/11 and even before. Over population is not a problem yet in the West so I'm not sure what you are worried about. Hell here in Canada we have roughly one person per square Km. WMDs have always been a problem since they were created and then used in Japan. Abuses of power have plagued humans since the very beginning of time. This will not change. There will always be a power struggle.
