Since I opened my merchant account in 2001, I've only had 1 fraudulent content purchase with a credit card. Although most of my payments since 2004 are now wire transfers, I still process credit cards as needed.

Webmasters prefer automated systems that are easy to purchase with. They do not prefer to contact anybody unless they have some unanswered questions....Something like: "I notice your site is not 2257 compliant. Why should I trust that your content is?"

My guess is that's why so many people don't process with credit cards these days. They are afraid of charge backs over non-compliant content.
