Joe Sixpack - Hate to tell you this, but the My Lai massacre is NOT something that Americans celebrate. It is something that is generally looked on as a situation gone to shit. Human nature played out in blood red.
Are you telling me that there was NEVER a massacre by Australians of Aborigines? Never a massacre by British of Indians (in India, not the Old American West). The Germans never massacred anyone? The Italians? The Russians? The Japanese? The fucking Vatican Army? Guess what, it has happened more times that history can record. My Lai was just one of the first instances where the press was able to document it and put it on the news back home.
Learn your history and grow up.
If not for American GI's most of the world would be either goosestepping to German commands, eating rice and talking Japanese, or drinking Stoli and speaking Russian while reading the daily edition of Pravda.
