Right, it's a compositing system, I get that. But I'm just saying I wish it were easier to move between the two. Right now the standard way is to edit all your shit then render out the pieces you want to "enhance" and then drop them in AE to tweak and add effects to, then render those tweaks out as an avi and drop them back into the editing tool. Kind of a slow time consuming way of doing things, based on my own style.
I've read that once you get high enough up the Avid program, you can open AE in Avid and edit that way.
