I don't know the movie business. I guess the producer sells his work to a media company, and therefore doesn't care if his movies show up on tube sites.
The only reason I can think of why those media companies don't twitch a finger is because they don't care. They must have noticed their content is being spread on the video sites. So it's probably the old porn mentality of just producing more and more.  |
It is the whole DMCA shit that needs changing.
Then there is the issue that the internet is not the US and is not under US law. Some countries do not even honor copyright laws to begin with so you do not even have a case to begin with against the infringers.
