So, I found out my old flight instructor died a few nights ago, I knew him for over a year as I was working on my commercial pilots license. I didn't always fly with him, but trained 4 days a week and saw him regularly. Ive never met his family and he has 3 young kids. Ive gone out a few times with him for beers, etc. Last timewe spoke was about 2 months ago.

I feel kinda weird showing up at his wake as I said ive never met any of his family. One of my other pilot buddies called me with the info on the wake.

Would it be appropriate for me to attend?
