I agree with ya on the principal of having the mind and the eye to set up a shot.. otherwise, you can't really achieve the look/effect like Perrie has taken.

Not at all. Digital still gives you an instant view of what you've shot. You'll look at it, reframe, and reshoot. Which is fine, but not what I was talking about.
Film mandates that you shoot and receive results much later.
SuzieQ - the Sony Alpha is actually a Minolta - here's a head's up, you can throw on almost any Minolta A-type lens onto the body - meaning if you shop for Miltoa lenses as opposed to Sony ones, you'll be saving a large chunk of cash ;)
