He's going to start the movie out with a house exploding to catch our attention. And then after we're introduced to the protagonist there's going to be another explosion. Then we meet Freddy Krueger for the first time, and he'll die in a fiery blaze after a 5-minute car chase scene that ends with an oil tanker exploding. Then instead of a knife glove, Krueger will make things explode in a hellish blaze just by touching them. In the movie's climax, Krueger will die when someone shoots him with a rocket launcher and he explodes.

With ample pyrotechnics the plot becomes an afterthought.
