Over the past 7 years I've pretty much used all the software that was/is available, 3DMax, Bryce, Lightwave, Mojoworld, Poser, Maya, etc.
Texturing is normally done in Photoshop, rendering is done with Firefly Engine.
Poser is still the "standard" as far as I am concerned for posing the models and exporting to images.
Bryce is still pretty good for making props and background scenes, and mojoworld is hands down the best for doing sci-fi style stuff!
And yuppers, there are still a few packages left for anyone who wants to snag them!
