FYI, in Canada we don't just "adopt laws".
A good example was our courts telling the RIA to go fuck themselves, ruling that Canadian ISPs did not have to give over customer information from IP addresses.
We pay a tax on recordable media in Canada, paid to artists, to combat copyright infringement.
