Maybe they would be wrong, but with an army of lawyers, this fact is neglegtible. If you are a multi million or even billion dollar company, you are right if you say you are right.

and it's things like saying "facebok now has a porn version" that is the problem

it gives the false impression that you are associated or authorized by them, which is a blantant violation of their trademark.
