GFY has it's own flavour.. You can't really compare it to other boards because the PEOPLE make the board. There is such a huge cross-section of different types of people here that it's impossible to judge it from the standpoint of only 3 or 4 people. They just seem to be the ones who are the "loudest" that day, but that changes day to day too. It's like the tides, ever flowing and ebbing, moving in cycles and never static. GFY changes from day to day, sometimes hour to hour or minute to minute. You can lurk but unless you are a part of the community you really can't judge. And even then, you have to stick around for quite a while before you can even come close to sampling the profundity and the shallowness which is, or can be GFY.
Sure some people are idiots.. what person do you know who hasn't acted like an idiot or an asshole at least once? Everyone here is HUMAN, humans are fallible, humans are prone to arguing and bickering.. Such is life. If you don't like it, don't read it. Of course, you've been drawn into the "evil" which is GFY yourself, simply because you posted. Therefore, you're no better than the rest of us, I would think.
