The only thing that really separates the two is during what year and what geographic location you happen to be standing... and what the consensus of the general populace of that year and place feels is the most agreeable at that moment.

I'm not trying to upset anyone - but I do feel that people often forget that.

... and, as whack as their teachings may seem to be - Scientology's legal offensive is a lot more civilized than the methods employed by some of today's more established "religions" in their historical efforts to become mainstream cults.
