Honestly it is not inflated at all. Try to call the grand lido and see what price you will get for 2 people. And then you are stuck at the hotel. With the person you came with for however long.
We are going there as a group. As a group there will be lots of activities planned for networking at the hotel as well as off the property so we don't all get stir crazy. These activities are not free and are a crucial part of making this a networking event.
The idea is that you will come back with more money in business then you spent attending. Although if I was selling Jamaican vacations, which clearly I am not, ya maybe the price is a lil' steep.
This price includes everything for you from the second you get through customs to the moment you head home. All of your liquor, activities, food, transportation and much more.
If you go to any show you are looking at about 1000 bucks for a room for 3-4days, plus your show badge which is 75 -300, then you have to buy usually at least breakfast, dinner too depending on where you have or have not been invited. Sometimes lunch if you miss the 30 minute buffets that are occassionally provided. Plus alcohol for you and everyone you are trying to schmooze. Not to mention taxi cabs to get to events away from the hotel.
Really you are at about 1900 bucks there depending on your tastes.
Overall this trip makes it easy there is no tipping allowed, no need to fight over a bill, everyone is being pampered, for those of you who dive it even includes 2 scuba dives daily
Not to mention 24/7 room service for those of you with Jamaican style munchies.
