I've had a purely diagnostic MRI in BC and my wait was 3 months but a few years ago I needed to get an emergency MRI and I was in the next day.
Whoever mentioned their buddy had to go the the US for an MRI is kinda weird since I'm sure he could have gotten one done at a private MRI clinic for cheaper here in Canada. I know when I asked one clinic here in Vancouver it was going to cost me $800 if I wanted to pay for it. Who knows maybe there isn't a mix of private and public MRIs in Ontario I dunno...
