I wouldn't be so worried about the pain from weight, I would be more worried about why it burns when you pee!

Carefull to stretch too hard before lifting, it is better to use ACTIVE stretching techinques (like what runners do on the sidelines before races) for preparing muscles for workouts.

If your trainer does not know about active stretching, change trainers!
