Sorry to say but if you would look for work in out of the way places or spots you think you wouldn't be able to work you will find there are many available jobs for people that do not specialize or have much in the way of "skills"
Many small manufacturing places, Furniture/wood shops, motor coach builders (junction city) hire general labor people and show you exactly what to do.
My sister and husband have no skills what so ever and are making a very nice living working at the coach builders.
Hit up property management offices, a friend recently landed a job fixing houses to get them ready for rent. Broken door knobs, loose gutters etc.... he started out at $15 an hr with an instant bump to $17 after 6 months and no issues.
If you can fix cars thats a huge plus, shops from eugene to portland are begging for good mechanics and paying well to get them.
If you want work other than shit jobs and fastfood it's there you just gotta go out and find it. Screw the want ads and temp agencies, knock on doors you might just be amazed at what you find.
Yeah, I did that kind of work to put myself through college before I started running and owning several local business thoughout the years. No point in going back to idiot work with people I cant stand to be around.

DARERING: You local? You registered a while back but I dont know you.

NOSMO: You got it, thats my life since selling the last company. Dont forget about the old ladies who want you to unload all their groceries and take them up to the farthest apartment on the second floor for the $5min on the meter!
