Its a tough thing, i always did well by "getting rid of" that search traffic to the sponsor as fast as possible, so nice graphic header and bold link text and send them to the best "generic term" sponsor here.
But i know a good percentage of the clicks arent interested in straight, so lately ive been adding links like "If YOU ARE LOOKIN FOR OUR GAY [generic term] click here" and makin it an off color, and up top so its nice and visible on the page. The pages get clicks but nowhere near what i would think the numbers should reflect.
So it leaves me wondering whats the best way to capture them without them turning back, but not scaring off the straight search as well.
