Add signature confirmation and delivery confirmation and you're covered. Everything that we have lost has been lost in transit and never made it to the door to be signed for, or even left.
The only problem I have with them is that customer service says that it could take up to 30 days to be delivered. It's not until after 30 days that they'll even look at a claim. But with insurance and those other precautions (that all cost extra too) we've been reimbursed every time.
They're faster and cheaper than UPS Ground, which is why you see a lot of Ebayers using USPS.
