I have a Sony HDR-HC7. Thought I ordered a 5 when I bought it. It records to DV tape. Anything we've shot comes up looking amazing. It even takes still photos that come out pretty nice as well.
My mother bought the same one and got it for about $200 less just after Christmas.
They carry this one at Best Buy.
