Speaking of wasting money...... Ron Paul is hardly known in the UK, but ive been watching the process closely from here and I put down $1k at 33/1 on a long shot of Ron Paul becoming the Republican candidate.

I figure if you have to take a long shot bet, its worth the risk on this guy....

Incidently, worth seeing this interesting page on how Ron Paul polled towards the end of last yr:
