Yes you can update your blog automatically from a RSS feed.
Pros:
Zero work need to be done on your blog, updates itself.
Cons:
Duplicate content with maybe thousands of over blogs out there, means crap or no SE listings.
www.WegCash.com have some great feeds that update often.
