Well the smart think would of been to do is roll that money over into an IRA for tax purposes. It is still there and could be used as leverage to gain money if you really needed it. Not positive if you still can, for awhile I know you had up to sixty days to do it but I am not to sure anymore and lets face it I never had a job with a 401k.
I also more than likely would not of quit my main job to become an adult webmaster right off the bat. Though that does take some serious balls, I hope for you it works out. Yet starting a thread saying you have 45k to spend alone scares me. Maybe something like I have 45k to invest would of been a better mindset.
Unless you really plan on buying out an exsisting site or starting something fairly massive 45k is really just to much to play with. Not saying it would not hurt with the right game plan though I have this odd feeling you do not even have a game plan and just some cash and ideas of what this business is like.
