XTube is focused on Amateur content, generated by the user. The volume of email that we get bitching about commercial content is immense, so we implemented a filter that blocks commercial content (WMs) - the users loved it.

We're not hiding behind the loophole that bars us from reviewing content. We had a schedule where staff would review content on an hourly basis until we learned that doing so incriminated us. So now that we're not allowed to police the site, we rely on viewers. We don't like it like that because we don't want your promo clips mixed in there pissing off our users and screwing with copyrights.

I was not clear as to how blocking all commercial content from the free section would help solve the problem of copyright. I really honestly believe this is a good solution. It's not some tactic. Fuck sakes people, we're Canadians! We're nice people!

Blocking commercial content from the free section will make it super easy to locate and delete stolen content, and ban the user who uploaded it, along with everything else they have uploaded. There is going to be a plainly visible button that will immediately remove the user and all of their uploads. This button will be available to all users, including the XTube staff - for chance encounters, because we're not allowed to police the site.

By increasing the ease and speed of removal we're able to eliminate all offending content, and you guys can focus your anger on the other tube sites who are too chicken to show up at shows, or even make their contacts freely available. Oh, on that point, Kurtis was not at Internext to 'make nice' with WMs. He was invited BY THE SHOW to be a speaker. YOU people wanted him there, and then you get all pissy about it - HA! Too funny.

Anyways, if Kurtis was as poorly behaved as you guys say he was, then he earned the shots he got. I will believe him over you guys though, just my loyalty talkin there.
