Nothing to do with the music he makes, but he is a guy who was calling out mainstream hip hop artists about selling out the nature of hip hop by making music so commercially appealing, and now he's making commercials for Gap?
I can't respect that. Mos Def and Talib Kwali are down, but even those guys, along with Common, talk a lot of shit on white people, which also makes if difficult to listen being as I'm white.
Kind of like when Laryn Hill decided to tell everyone that white people shouldn't listen to the Fugees because it's music for black people. What a fucked up thing to say to a large group of people paying to listen to it on the regular.
