Blockbuster just did that. They matched Neflix and then one-upped them by allowing the mail order movies to be returned to a local store for the swith-a-roo. They'll be just fine.
Netflix also started streaming movies not too long ago.
Neither of these companies are stagnant by any means. They'll both be fine.
