Actually nothing special happens. You're just loosing some money ($1K..$10K or so). You will be asked to send $$$ for various purposes up to buying her a ticket on a plane. I saw a lot of police reports on local TV about all those "bride agencies". Usually it's a teem of students (nerds) that hang 24/7 in the Internet talking to you for a "potential bride".
