Back in the olden days (mid to late 70's), it was SO easy to get a fake ID. I borrowed a friend's birth certificate and went to the Florida DMV and told them I was her and I'd lost my license. Within 15 minutes I had a gen-u-ine FL license with my picture and her info. Lord knows we were playing with fire - for instance if I had been in an accident and they called HER parents - but I used that thing for 4 years with ZERO problems. They didn't cancel her "lost" license and in fact, it looked exactly the same as mine - just a different picture.

Now you have to show so much more documentation that I'm sure it's harder now. But the illegals are getting fake driver's licenses so maybe it's not THAT hard.

Now, unfortunately, I look old enough ;)
