no, but i had this idiot once spill a drink all over the left side turntable. this guy was a piece of work. he wanted to be a dj so bad. all the other djs in town would treat him like shit, but i was nice and talked to him and yadda yadda, but he wasn't dj material. as much as it may look to some people like a talentless art, it really takes skill and artistic abilities and musical experience to be a dj. a real dj anyhow.
so anyhow, this guy just turned into a leech on me. every club, every night, he was there, hanging like a shadow by the dj booth. telling everyone that i was teaching him and that i thought he was gonna be the next big dj. yah right. well, long story short, he was wasted one night, tried to sit a drink on a ledge next to the record and spilled it all over the deck. ice cubes, red bull, and vodka all over the fucking place. knocked the needle off the record. lucky for him it was 1030pm or so and the club was kinda empty. if he did that shit at 100am when the room is packed and i was going off and in the zone, i would have killed him. the club did actually make him pay for the maintenance to the deck, and i banned him from standing anywhere near me or the turntables after that.
i kinda felt for the guy. he wanted to be "that guy" so bad. but he wanted it for the wrong reasons. he wanted to get girls, and be "the man" when thats not what djing is about.
